502 TRAINING ATTENDANCE

502.1 Pre-approval

Employees may have the opportunity of attending various workshops, seminars, conferences and conventions at City expense provided they are sponsored by an appropriate agency or association and the employee's attendance is approved by his supervisor. Funds for said activities must be provided for in the current fiscal budget adopted by the City Council.

502.2 Cancellation

If the employee cannot attend the scheduled training, pre-approval by the supervisor is required.

502.3 Conduct

The Employee shall conduct himself in a manner which is above question and inappropriate conduct may cause an employee to lose the right to attend any subsequent functions or result in other disciplinary action.
