313. REEMPLOYMENT POLICY 12-22-12

313.1. Applicability to Seniority & Probation

Employees reinstated to City employment after separation will not have their seniority reinstated and will be required to serve the appropriate probation period requirements. The effective date of rehire will be their anniversary date for seniority purposes.

313.2. Sick Leave & Service Credit Reinstatement

A former employee who separated from City service in good standing may have unused sick leave reinstated and may be given credit for years of previous service on the vacation schedule if reemployed within 60 calendar days of the date of separation.

313.2.1. Unused sick leave balance may be reinstated upon reemployment within sixty (60) days of initial separation.
Employee will have the option to refund the sick leave compensation at which time the full sick leave balance will be reinstated upon reemployment and the employee will begin accruing sick leave from the date of reemployment.
