Purpose

City provided personal computers, network access, electronic mail (e-mail), Internet access, Internet mail, voice mail, City issued cell phones, pagers, and other automated or electronic methods of communications (herein termed "computer resources") are valuable tools to be used for the general business and purpose of the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri. This policy establishes rules for appropriate utilization of the technology in a manner consistent with related municipal policies and applicable.

Policy

City "Information Technology Policies" establish rules for appropriate utilization of the technology in a manner consistent with related municipal policies and applicable laws. (406.1)

Compliance

Pursuant to the authority of Section 2-313, Personnel Regulations, of the Lee's Summit Code of Ordinances, the City Administrator is authorized and directed to prescribe such rules, regulations, policies and procedures necessary to carry out the provisions of the Code.
